Working with adolescents and adults, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorder, alcohol/substance use addiction, mental health, domestic violence, grief & bereavement, parent-child relationship, self-esteem, case management, HIV/AIDS, community advocacy and outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness.

I have acquired over 27 years of experience providing professional peer support and counseling services to adolescents and adults. I have spent the last few years working in a Medical Assisted Treatment (MAT)program providing individual and group counseling to adults struggling with mental health and substance use. I have also offered professional counseling to residents in homeless shelters, rehabilitation facilities, group homes, permanent supportive housing for mental health, and day programs for adults with disabilities.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations from Trinity Washington University. In addition, I have received a registered Qualified Mental Health Professional-A from the Virginia Board of Counseling. I have also received a Peer Recovery Specialist Certificate of Completion from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Development Services and received a Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Counselor Certificate from Northern Virginia Community College.
